Nexus Spa (NXS) in Cubao has popped up on my radar a few times, so out of curiosity, I decided to check it out. Located along Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City, it is a male spa that has quietly garnered a following online—I’ve seen a few tweets from people who seem to enjoy their visits. With that in mind, my expectations were optimistic.
Location and Facilities
The spa is housed on the ground floor of a small two-storey mixed-use building, which it shares with a convenience store, a bank, and a few other establishments. When I arrived, I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance because the doorway is almost completely blacked out. From the outside, it didn’t look like much, and admittedly, my expectations dipped a little at this point.

Inside, I was greeted by a lone receptionist. The reception area had a dimly lit ambiance, though the design felt pretty standard.

Just past reception is a cozy lounge with a TV, free biscuits, and drinks—yes, even cocktails.
The locker room is brightly lit and equipped with about 60 lockers—spacious enough to fit a backpack comfortably.

Adjacent to it is the wet area, which includes a dry sauna, a steam room, maze-like showers, and curtained private showers. While the space isn’t particularly large, it’s kept in decent condition. One detail that stood out for me was the dry sauna’s unusual setup: it’s split into two sections by a transparent PVC curtain—one side dimly lit, the other completely dark. It’s my first time to encounter this kind of dry sauna.
Massage Quality
A staircase near the lounge—illuminated by a projector casting the NXS logo—leads to the upper floor where the massage rooms are located. These rooms are adequately sized, but I did notice the massage beds were covered in worn synthetic leather, with visible slits that can be a bit uncomfortable on the skin.

Here’s a quick look at their current menu (as of writing):

Rates may vary slightly depending on therapist or ongoing promos, so it’s best to ask during your visit or call ahead.
I chose the Nexus Sensual Signature Massage, priced at PHP 1,200. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The routine felt mechanical, and while the pressure was okay, it lacked the sensuality that the name suggests. Then again, this was just a one-time experience—other therapists may offer better sessions, as reviews online suggest the quality varies.
Crowd
As for the crowd, it leaned more toward dad bods—something I noticed and believe contributes to the spa’s niche appeal. If that’s your type, Nexus might be worth exploring. It’s also a known cruising spot, which may explain its steady clientele.
Will I visit again? Probably not. I believe there are other spas in the same price range that offer better massages and more refined facilities. That said, I get why Nexus has a loyal following. There’s a certain charm to it—discreet, cozy, and community-driven. It’s not for everyone, but it certainly has its place.
Operating Hours and Contact
Nexus Spa is open daily from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM. You can reach them at 0977 736 4200.
